Bold Questions
We have become slaves to our government. Our country’s capital is now occupied by individuals who want to take away as many of our freedoms as they can, legally or otherwise. How did it happen? When did it happen? On whose watch did it occur? Why wasn’t there an outcry? Why isn’t everyone angry? When will it end?
I’ve said many times that this is not about Republican versus Democrat or Conservative versus Liberal. It’s not even simply capitalism and free market against Socialism or Communism, although the tools of the latter are being used aggressively against the former. Our immediate problem is that our president is presenting us to the world as broken and apologetic for our exceptionalism. He does not appear to miss any opportunity to apologize for our country or to disrespect her, depending upon the country he’s visiting this week. Our president was elected to lead America, but he isn’t leading America, he’s organizing America. He is aggressively organizing America into the haves and have-nots. Rather than recognize and foster the great spirit of individualism that has made America the greatest country in the world, he is disseminating each of us. He is minimalizing the quality of America to our lowest common denominator. He is organizing us for a takeover from within, in order to appease the world.
I keep hearing pundits and posters on blogs say that the President is improving America’s image around the world. The world loves us again. I’m not saying that that’s a bad thing, but I must ask, in light of the problems that Americans are facing every day, how does that help us? Does that mean that our President is so loved in the world that no one in the world endeavors to do us harm? Are we guaranteed that there will never be another 9/11? Does that mean that we will all have jobs? That we can make our mortgage? Or our car payment? How about being able to send our kids to college? Or something so simple as having a night out to celebrate the work week being over? Without depending on the government to help with any of these, I might add. How many of you have worried about those problems?
We exercise our freedom of speech and we are assaulted by accusations of racism, ignorance, and close-mindedness. When did it become acceptable to bully any American for their opinion? Was freedom of speech not a principal upon which our country was founded? When, in the history of our country, was it acceptable to accuse a person of racism for disagreeing with the President? Can you only be a racist if you’re white? I think maybe one year ago, the answer to that question was yes. But now, persons of color are being accused of racism for disagreeing with the President’s policies. It’s not about black or white. The occupiers are smart enough to capitalize upon our country’s history of strained race relations, and try to make us believe that this is what is going on. And when so confronted, most of us are sensitive enough to stop for a moment and question ourselves. We replay the words in our head, trying to make sure that we did not sound racist, or bigoted in any way. And that’s just enough for the accuser to pounce and further undermine our opinion.
These strangers who are occupying our country are working from a playbook that most of us have not heard of, much less utilized. There really is an orchestrated plan among them to marginalize those who do not think as they do. This is their game plan. They are trying to break us from within. It’s time to understand that this is not Republicans against Democrats. It’s time to stand up for what you believe in. In fact, it’s time to start fighting for what you believe in. If we as individuals are unwilling to make even the smallest sacrifices for what we believe, then how can we expect others to stand up for us?
Thomas Paine said that a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right. I think it’s time that we start calling wrong, wrong. Do not let anyone silence you. Shout it from the rooftops, if you must. When did we forget that we fund every activity that powers the people in our capital? These occupiers are only there at our direction. They are only funded with our money. When are we going to take back this power? When are we going to cut their purse strings? Is this not our country? What are we waiting for? Will we continue to let them betray us and insult us? Are we willing to go so easily into their prison of perpetual tyranny? Will our complacency foster more usurpation from them? Will we continue to be assuaged with their false promises? Will we lay in repose while they march us into slavery? Will we give up our hard-earned freedoms so easily? Are we such willing prisoners to their power? Is not the power our own? When will we reclaim it? If not now, when?

Well put my friend…The proof is in the economic impace of his bowing to all other nations. I don’t think that will happen.

Sterling…excellent! And I again, am encouraged to not be ‘discouraged’ that the citizen is paying attn, after all…and hopefully Washington will pay attn to the citizen, after all. I fear if they do not, trouble is ahead. Americans do not ‘bend to tyranny’ so easily as ‘they’ might think, I believe.
